Job Requirements
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, smiling frequently
- Be available to work flexible hours including days, evenings, and/or weekends based on event schedules
- Effectively function in a lively, fast-paced environment with potential noise and distractions
- Communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal forms
- Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds
- Move throughout the facility and remain standing for extended periods as needed to oversee events
- Frequently walk or stand for the majority of your shift, particularly during event execution
- Reach, bend, stoop, and perform light cleaning tasks as necessary to ensure event areas are presentable
Job Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination is preferred
- Ability to manage budgets and administrative tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of hospitality or entertainment industry is advantageous
- Proficient in computer applications and event management software
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Professional demeanor and customer-focused approach
Job Duties
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of events including birthday celebrations, corporate gatherings, team-building activities, and social events, ensuring they align with guest expectations and Dave & Buster's standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact for event inquiries and client communication, building strong relationships and ensuring all needs and preferences are understood and addressed
- Collaborate closely with various internal teams including food and beverage, gaming, and operations to coordinate event logistics and ensure smooth execution
- Develop detailed event proposals, contracts, and timelines, managing budgets effectively and ensuring all financial aspects are handled accurately
- Oversee event setup and teardown, ensuring the event space is appropriately configured and all necessary resources are in place
- Proactively address any issues or challenges that may arise during an event, ensuring a swift and satisfactory resolution to maintain a positive guest experience
- Maintain meticulous records of event details, guest interactions, and financial transactions
- Stay informed about Dave & Buster's offerings, promotions, and event packages to effectively communicate options to potential clients
- Actively seek opportunities to enhance the event experience and identify potential for repeat business
- Uphold a positive and professional demeanor at all times, representing Dave & Buster's in a favorable light
- Assist other team members and contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment
