  • Proven experience in event management, hospitality, banquet coordination, or related fields such as restaurant or hotel experience
  • Strong negotiation skills with vendors and clients
  • Excellent marketing and upselling abilities to maximize event success and revenue opportunities
  • Solid understanding of event marketing strategies and event planning processes
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Organizational skills capable of managing detailed plans and coordinating diverse teams
  • Experience in budgeting, contracts management, catering coordination, and fundraising is preferred
  • Outstanding communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members effectively
  • Must be able to work in person

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning from inception to completion, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and decor
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and venues to secure the best terms and services
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
  • Oversee event marketing efforts to promote upcoming events through various channels
  • Upsell additional services or packages to enhance client satisfaction and revenue
  • Manage guest services, ensuring a high level of hospitality and customer satisfaction throughout the event
  • Collaborate with catering teams, banquet staff, and other service providers to ensure smooth operations during events
  • Handle logistics such as setup, breakdown, and coordination of event timelines
  • Maintain strong communication with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel or venue policies during all phases of event execution
