Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and in event planning or coordination
  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and safely use ladders
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
  • Must comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements for employment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as required
  • Ability to work in a public retail environment
  • Must be able to participate in the interactive process for accommodations if needed

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects, face painting and other activities
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs
  • Create backup or emergency plans for events
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards with setup and cleanup before and after events
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Engage customers on benefits of rewards programs and credit cards
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys
  • Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Remain positive and respectful, promoting the organization’s vision and values
  • Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, and maintaining restrooms
  • Perform other duties as assigned
