Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years experience in sales and marketing, public relations, hospitality, or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Serves as the primary contact for all sales and public relations activities for the facility
  • works with the Director of Golf on developing a comprehensive marketing plan that will contribute to growth in every revenue category
  • manages and supports all potential events from start to finish including initial contact, sale and contracting of events, communications, setup, operations, and billing coordination
  • establishes and maintains accurate files on all group events including notes, contracts, merchandise, and banquet event orders
  • manages schedule of events, meeting room activity and all related financial information and effectively communicates details to department heads
  • understands facility budgets and the financial impact of performance
  • performs as a leader within the facility
  • establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other department heads and team members
  • collaborates with professional golf event and venue staff to ensure successful execution of events and enhance sponsor relations
  • works with facility staff to ensure efficient guest service and overall guest satisfaction
  • leads and fosters ideas from staff for promotions, events, and round growth
  • responsible for achieving annual budgeted sales goals and monitoring business volume
  • finds and contacts prospective outing clients to generate rounds and incremental revenue
  • provides consultation for local businesses and charities on profitable golf event planning
  • develops and implements a schedule of events with a focus on in-house events, vendor demo days, promotions, and membership events
  • works with the Corporate Creative Services Team for social media marketing
  • networks with community partners including Chamber of Commerce, local tourism councils, governmental agencies, civic clubs, corporate executives, business leaders, and media contacts
  • develops strong working relationships with local media representatives
  • attends and represents the facility at trade shows
