Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in event coordination or relevant customer service roles
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders safely
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Must comply with federal, state, and local job requirements
  • Must be able to perform physical requirements essential to the job

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Retail and/or customer service experience
  • Excellent people skills
  • Good communication skills including written, verbal, nonverbal, and listening
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities like face painting
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • Communicate event details effectively with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after events
  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote rewards program and private label credit card enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies
  • Interact respectfully and positively with customers and team members
  • Cross-trained in custom framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
