Job Requirements

  • Ability to remain standing for long periods

  • ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or equipment

  • ability to perform operational retail tasks such as truck unloading and stocking

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior retail or customer service experience
  • experience working with children and organizing children’s events
  • excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
  • strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • creative problem-solving abilities
  • ability to engage and interact positively with customers and team members of all ages
  • energetic and enthusiastic personality

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children's birthday parties and craft classes
  • engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
  • demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects and party activities such as face painting
  • facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons according to company standards
  • communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and filing paperwork
  • adjust event plans based on client feedback and needs
  • create and implement backup or emergency plans when needed
  • ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • uphold cleanliness and safety standards by setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after events
  • help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
  • provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
  • engage customers in Rewards program and private label credit card enrollments
  • educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • assist with Omni channel processes including BOPIS and Ship From Store
  • participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
  • complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties as assigned
  • support shrink and safety programs
  • adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Company policies
  • interact with others respectfully and promote company values
  • cross-trained in custom framing selling and production
  • participate in daily store cleanliness activities
