Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Events Management, Business/Marketing Management or related field and two years event experience
- or Associate's Degree and four years event experience
- or high school diploma or equivalency and six years event experience
- valid Florida driver's license or ability to obtain within 14 days
- ability to complete Crowd Control Certification within 9 months of hire
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to work in various environmental conditions
Job Qualifications

- high school diploma or equivalency with six years event experience

- ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- ability to manage multiple projects
- ability to work in fast-paced environment
- valid Florida driver's license or ability to obtain within 14 days
- ability to complete crowd control certification within 9 months
- preferred crowd control certification
- preferred experience in municipal or government organization
Job Duties
- Assist with executing indoor and outdoor events including concerts, parades, movie nights, and ribbon cuttings
- support the division in fulfilling the City's schedule of events
- conduct message outreach to businesses, residents, visitors, and community groups
- represent the division at events and community meetings
- organize and distribute event marketing materials
- oversee, recruit, and train volunteers
- recruit, schedule, and coordinate non-profits, businesses, artists, and vendors for events
- maintain event supplies and equipment and update inventory list
- maintain electronic and paper records of the division
- assist with park and amphitheater rentals
- oversee departmental assistance with events
- produce and distribute logistics memos
- oversee vendor load-in and load-out at events
- oversee vendor communication prior to events
