Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum two years related experience
- Strong knowledge of facility management and safety requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work long and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid United States motor vehicle operator's license
- Ability to stand for long periods and move around large facilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years related experience or training
- Knowledge of facility management principles, building operations, maintenance, practices, and safety requirements
- Ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous events
- Capability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies
- Capacity to engage in crowd management decisions during crises
- Ability to work independently under pressure and produce accurate results
- Strong relationship management with clients, employees, exhibitors, and patrons
- Skill in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
- Competence in interpreting technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in operating standard office equipment and software such as Outlook, MS Windows, Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
- Valid United States motor vehicle operator's license
- Preferred experience with CAD and Adobe Illustrator
Job Duties
- Communicate with clients to obtain necessary technical requirements and other event related information
- Accurately prepare event estimates in conjunction with contractual proposals set forth by the Sales Team
- Work closely with and receive directions, mentorship, and coaching from Event Managers
- Properly execute all back-end paperwork related to the event, including post event notes and settlements
- Inspect buildings and meeting areas to evaluate suitability for occupancy
- Ensure that equipment, physical set-up, and personnel meet event and contractual requirements
- Develop assignment schedules for staffing requirements for event presentation
- Monitor performance of front of house staff including guest services, security, medical, and event staff
- Provide clear, concise, and timely communication of detailed requirements to all departments
- Assist in scheduling operational set-ups to provide equipment or service needs
- Monitor and supervise facility set-up when necessary
- Ensure all pertinent information is obtained, compiled in event files, and distributed to proper entities
- Coordinate with the Box Office regarding technical and production requirements
- Manage preparation for upcoming events, including knowledge of set-up and tear-down procedures
- Work irregular schedules to ensure proper supervision of all events and activities scheduled in the facility
- Perform other duties as assigned
