Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in event coordination or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 25 lbs occasionally with assistance
  • Must follow proper lifting procedures
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, reach, talk and hear as required
  • Availability for full-time employment
  • Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Completion of chemical and bloodborne pathogen training
  • Pass position certification quiz

  • Knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Must pass certification quiz for position
  • Experience with PMS and Delphi is a plus
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to use property service recovery processes

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service to guests and anticipate exceeding expectations
  • Know and live the mission and brand basics
  • Type banquet event orders, resumes and cover sheets and distribute to appropriate departments
  • Handle special projects from Event Management Director and Managers
  • Track and maintain purchase orders and invoices
  • Order supplies for office
  • Log and file turnovers from Sales
  • Attend BEO meetings as necessary
  • Coordinate and handle affiliate groups with Event Manager's supervision
  • Arrange in-house meetings including blocking space and creating BEOs
  • Type post-con reports and critiques
  • Create house accounts in PMS and bookings in Delphi
  • Answer telephones promptly and professionally
  • Call customers for guarantee numbers and enter them in Delphi
  • Complete order forms for amenities, electrical service, security, telecom, and parking vouchers
  • Provide support for business center
  • Establish and maintain filing system
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information
  • Practice energy conservation
  • Notify management of maintenance issues
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Adhere to attendance policy and attend daily preshifts
  • Utilize service recovery and defect tracking
  • Report unsafe conditions
  • Practice safety standards
  • Wear uniform and nametag
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team
  • Respond to guest complaints
  • Promote teamwork and morale
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel property and services
  • Adhere to all policies and emergency procedures
  • Follow proper key control procedures
  • Perform other assigned duties
