Job Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years post education experience in event planning
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Preferred military experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to manage multiple offices coordination and event calendar management

Job Duties

  • Coordinate distinguished visitor events, ceremonies, and special commemorations for a government client
  • Provide customer service and logistics support for events and observances at NAVSEA HQ and in the National Capitol Region
  • Develop and execute detailed event plans with coordination from multiple offices
  • Manage an event calendar to ensure continuity and prevent double booking
  • Serve as liaison between multiple stakeholders including senior military officials
  • Ensure adherence to military protocol in all event activities
  • Organize resources and communications to support successful event execution
