Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Ability to handle job stress and work effectively with guests and coworkers
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality
  • Excellent people skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting and moving merchandise
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects, perform face painting and other activities
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • Communicate effectively with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and needs
  • Create backup or emergency plans for events
  • Ensure client satisfaction for all scheduled events
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety standards during event setup and breakdown
  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Engage customers on benefits of rewards program and private label credit cards
  • Assist with omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup In Store and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
  • Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Promote positive interactions and serve as a role model for team members
  • Cross trained in custom framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
