Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant event planning experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with CRM systems or willingness to self-train
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in event planning, coordination, or management preferably in Chamber or nonprofit environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to adapt to evolving priorities and execute strategic event plans effectively
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems with willingness to self-train
  • Ability to work flexible hours including four days in-office and one day facilitating events with occasional evenings and weekends for major events

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and execute Chamber events including monthly programs, signature events, and strategic initiatives outlined in the three-year plan
  • Coordinate all event logistics including venue selection, catering, A/V, sponsorships, speakers, décor, and onsite operations
  • Develop event timelines, budgets, and checklists to ensure timely execution and smooth delivery
  • Maintain detailed records in the CRM system including event registrations, sponsor commitments, and attendee engagement
  • Collaborate with the CEO and team to ensure each event supports the Chamber’s strategic and revenue goals
  • Communicate effectively with sponsors, vendors, and members to ensure satisfaction and partnership continuity
  • Track, measure, and report event KPIs weekly and monthly to the CEO
  • Manage multiple events at various stages of planning simultaneously, staying organized and calm under pressure
  • Provide post-event analysis and feedback for continuous improvement
