Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in event support or hospitality preferred
  • strong understanding of client programs and events
  • ability to respond immediately and resolve issues efficiently
  • physical ability to handle boxes up to 25 pounds and be mobile for event setup
  • exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • proficiency with computer systems and data entry
  • strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends and holidays
  • ability to perform meeting room inspections and cleanliness walkthroughs

  • preferably two years of meeting planning or hotel experience

Job Duties

  • Take phone inquiries
  • enter data into internal systems including preparing contracts and addendums
  • prepare event sites and facilitate communication before, during and after events
  • act as liaison between Event Planning Managers and Meeting Planners during events
  • interact with operational departments to ensure successful events
  • perform meeting room inspections and cleanliness walkthroughs
  • monitor and anticipate planners' needs and ensure satisfaction
  • respond promptly to requests within five minutes and resolve issues within fifteen minutes
  • provide added delighter services for repeat customers
  • provide feedback to departments involved in event planning
  • attend pre-convention meetings
  • track and retrieve boxes as needed
  • perform service recovery to improve guest experience
  • participate in special projects when scheduling allows
