Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with children and coordinating events
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving merchandise
  • Good verbal, written, and nonverbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact respectfully with customers and team members
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adjust plans as required
  • Capacity to work in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled environments

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in event coordination or customer service
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with children and manage children’s events
  • Organizational and creative problem-solving skills
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Enthusiastic and energetic personality
  • Ability to handle job stress and maintain professionalism
  • Knowledge of craft materials and activities a plus

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons including goody bags and balloons
  • Communicate effectively with clients and store team members about events
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create emergency backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after events
  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote rewards program and credit card enrollment
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Maintain merchandise recovery and support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to company policies and promote a positive, respectful work environment
  • Cross-train in custom framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
