Job Requirements

Retail and/or customer service experience required
Experience working with children and planning children's events preferred
Ability to remain standing for long periods
Ability to move throughout the store
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment
Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and listening
Must have organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to interact positively and respectfully with others
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as required
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Ability to perform physical demands of the job including standing and lifting

Job Duties

Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events
Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities like face painting
Facilitate and implement party add-ons to company standards
Communicate events with clients and store team members
Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
Adjust event plans based on client feedback and needs
Create backup or emergency plans for events
Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
Uphold cleanliness and safety standards by setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after events
Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
Engage customers on rewards programs and complete enrollments
Educate customers on Voice of Customer surveys
Assist with omni-channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store
Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance
Perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
Support shrink and safety programs
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
Interact respectfully with guests and team members
Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production
Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom cleaning
Perform other duties as assigned
