Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a customer-facing position
  • Food handler’s license
  • TIPS training
  • ServSafe certification training required prior or after hire
  • Ability to maintain current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Background check required

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a customer-facing position
  • Experience with cash handling responsibilities
  • Food handler’s license
  • TIPS training
  • ServSafe certification training
  • Previous experience in a theatre or performance venue preferred
  • Ability to maintain current certification in CPR/First Aid/AED
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Connecticut liquor laws and health regulations
  • High organizational skills and commitment to accuracy
  • Basic computer literacy including Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to perform accurate calculations and manage budgets
  • Ability to remain calm in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Learn theatre policies, health and liquor guidelines, and customer service standards
  • Shadow experienced staff during events to observe food and beverage operations
  • Get trained on POS systems, cash handling procedures, and reporting tools
  • Assist with setup/teardown of food and beverage stations
  • Independently manage food and beverage stations during events
  • Oversee catering and kitchen staff for theatre events
  • Ensure compliance with all health and liquor regulations
  • Schedule and train part-time concessions staff
  • Communicate service expectations clearly to team members
  • Take charge of ordering, receiving, and inventory control
  • Monitor pricing and ensure alignment with budgetary guidelines
  • Produce weekly sales reports and track trends
  • Develop and launch signature food/beverage items
  • Contribute to annual concessions tracking and planning
  • Evaluate vendor relationships and product performance
  • Serve as Assistant House Manager as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance event experiences
  • Refine training programs and SOPs
  • Lead initiatives to improve cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Assist hospitality ordering and setup for visiting artists
