Legends Event Center, located in Bryan, Texas, is a premier multipurpose indoor family sports and entertainment facility designed to serve the broader Texas region and the southwest United States. This expansive venue boasts eight basketball courts that can convert into sixteen volleyball courts, alongside meeting and hospitality areas, a full arcade, and an e-gaming center. Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in an event or sports-related field
  • Degree in sports management preferred
  • Experience in facility operations and event/tournament management
  • Experience coaching/teaching both youth and adult sports
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant creative publishing tools
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Experience coaching/teaching both youth and adult sports
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience dealing with event personnel
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and creative publishing tools relevant to the application
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Create, plan, and execute and evaluate new and existing events, meetings and parties
  • Qualify sales opportunities through inquiries and prospecting to maximize revenue potential
  • Coordinate the organization and communication for the facility's special events, meetings and parties
  • Manage ongoing facility schedule for special events, meetings and parties
  • Serve as MOD for special events, meetings and tournaments
  • Assist with supervision, training, and management of event and guest services team members
  • Track and report weekly events, meetings, parties attendance
  • Successfully manage and execute events in a fast-paced environment
  • Achieve sales goals by keeping abreast of budgeted revenue goals and assist in developing plans and actions to generate business
  • Provide support to the managers, as well as, the administrative team with phone support, creating correspondences, and providing backup support
  • Create and maintain reports, as needed, to assist with the sales effort
  • All additional duties assigned by the Events Manager and Director of Business Development
