Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience
  • 1 year of relevant work experience
  • knowledge of scheduling and contract administration
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel
  • skill in public relations and handling complaints
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to lift or move 20lbs

Job Duties

  • Manage alcohol permits including permit management and communication with event planners, UAPD and risk management
  • manage student group room bookings in Student Union Memorial Center serving as central point of contact
  • develop proposals for potential customers and coordinate bookings focusing on customer needs, logistics and operational capabilities
  • work directly with catering, vendors, and event services staff to ensure accurate presentation of event logistics and catering options
  • supervise student workers including hiring, training, scheduling and directing work assignments
  • receive and process money for event planning including invoicing and posting money to accounts
  • prepare and send reservation, catering confirmations and invoices to customers
  • distribute information to appropriate personnel
