Job Requirements
- Ability to remain standing for long periods
- ability to move throughout the store
- capable of regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
- ability to lift heavy boxes and use ladders or similar equipment to access high shelves
- comply with federal, state, and local legal job requirements
- willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
- physical stamina required to perform the essential functions
- be able to engage in an interactive process for reasonable accommodations if necessary
- work in a public retail store environment with climate-controlled public areas and partially climate-controlled stock rooms
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience working with children and organizing children’s events
- retail or customer service experience
- excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal
- strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- creative problem-solving abilities
- energetic and enthusiastic personality
- ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and coworkers
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
- engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity
- demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities such as face painting
- facilitate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons according to company standards
- communicate effectively with clients and store team members about events
- complete administrative tasks including answering emails, phone calls, and paperwork
- adjust events based on client feedback and create backup or emergency plans
- ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards by setting up and cleaning before and after events
- help customers shop and locate products
- provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
- promote rewards program and private label credit card enrollments
- educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
- assist with omni-channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store
- participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
- complete merchandise recovery and store maintenance
- perform Store in Stock Optimization and AD set duties
- support shrink and safety programs
- adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
- interact respectfully and positively with customers and team members
- cross-train in custom framing selling and production
- maintain daily store cleanliness including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom upkeep
- perform other duties as assigned
