Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- coursework from an accredited college or university with major coursework in facility management, hospitality management, marketing, public relations, business management, or other related field
- experience in event coordination, convention services, or meeting planning preferably with a convention center, hotel, sports facility, performing arts facility, or other multi-purpose public assembly facility
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, and extended workdays
- clear and concise communication in English orally and in writing
- strong customer service skills
- ability to plan, service, and supervise events
- problem-solving skills
- ability to multi-task
- ability to work independently and remain flexible in role
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- knowledge of operational characteristics of event management
- strong customer service practices
- ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, and extended workdays
- clear and concise communication skills in English both orally and in writing
- ability to plan, service, and supervise events
- problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during events
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, contractors, and venue users

Job Duties
- Cover front desk reception position two days a week
- answer phones
- greet clients
- process payments
- assist Office Manager
- assist with guest or client questions as needed
- help office staff with filing, organizing, and other items as assigned by Office Manager
- attend weekly staff and production meetings
- perform weekly audit of event diagrams, schedules, and details and provide feedback to Event Managers
- act as Manager on Duty during events as assigned including evenings and weekends
- coordinate all event details including audiovisual, food and beverage, security, electrical, and decorating
- interact with clients and attendees
- act as Event Manager for smaller events as assigned
- work with clients to create event diagrams and event resumes
- communicate event needs to convention center staff
- gain working knowledge of Momentus CRM and CAD programs
- oversee and manage Exhibitor Services for all tradeshow events
- perform other duties as required
