Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of related work experience
  • no supervisory experience required
  • no licenses or certifications required
  • ability to follow safety policies
  • physical ability to perform job duties including lifting under 25 pounds, standing and walking for long periods

Job Duties

  • Meet with group coordinators or hosts before receptions
  • present introductions and confirm all preparations
  • read and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information
  • determine appropriate organization and timeline
  • manage specific guest needs, buffets, and food stations
  • fulfill and track special banquet event preparations
  • comply with company safety policies and procedures
  • report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • maintain a clean, professional uniform and personal appearance
  • protect company property and confidentiality
  • support coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect
  • assist the team to achieve common goals
  • meet quality assurance standards
  • move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 25 pounds unassisted
  • stand, sit or walk for extended periods during a full shift
  • read and verify information in various formats
  • inspect tools, equipment, or machinery to identify defects
  • reach over head and below knees, bend, twist, drag, and stoop
  • navigate narrow, confined or elevated spaces
  • maneuver on inclined, uneven, slippery surfaces and stairs
