Job Duties

  • Meet with group coordinators or hosts before reception
  • make introductions and ensure all arrangements are agreed upon
  • read and analyze banquet orders to gather guest information
  • determine proper organization and timing
  • address specific guest needs
  • manage buffets and food stations
  • attend to and attempt to fulfill all special banquet preparations
  • monitor special banquet arrangements to ensure compliance
  • comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • maintain professional uniform and personal appearance
  • protect company property and maintain confidentiality
  • support coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect
  • assist team to achieve common goals
  • meet quality assurance standards
  • move, lift, transport, push, pull, or place items under 25 pounds unaided
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during shifts
  • read and visually verify information in various formats
  • inspect tools and equipment for defects
  • reach overhead and below knees
  • bend, twist, pull, and lean
  • move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
  • navigate uneven, slippery surfaces and stairways
  • greet and recognize guests per company standards
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • answer phone calls using appropriate etiquette
