- At least 1 year of related work experience
- Ability to read and interpret banquet event orders
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Adherence to company safety and security policies
- Ability to work full time
- Non-management position
- Located onsite at Marriott Marquis Houston

Job Duties
- Meet group coordinator or host prior to functions to make introductions and confirm arrangements
- Read and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information and determine proper setup and timeline
- Respond to and fulfill special banquet event arrangements
- Follow up on special banquet event arrangements to ensure compliance
- Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs
- Maintain cleanliness and professionalism in uniform and personal appearance
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Report accidents and unsafe conditions to management
- Communicate clearly using professional language and etiquette
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and navigating various surfaces
- Perform additional duties as requested by supervisors
