Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary arts degree or advanced certification preferred
  • six years of experience in hospitality industry
  • skilled in culinary and production techniques for off-site events
  • ability to obtain Certified Food Service Manager certification within 90 days
  • proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • capacity to stand, walk, sit for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs
  • able to work in extreme weather and wet conditions
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary arts degree or advanced certification preferred
  • minimum six years of hospitality experience, preferably in catering or hotel food service
  • strong culinary and food production skills
  • ability to complete Certified Food Service Manager certification within 90 days preferred
  • proficiency in English
  • excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • thorough knowledge of food safety practices

Job Duties

  • Arrive ready and comply with dress code
  • check in with event supervisor for event details
  • lead kitchen team and assign tasks
  • conduct pre-shift meetings and review menu and service flow
  • direct kitchen setup and organize supplies
  • supervise food production ensuring quality and consistency
  • coordinate plating and service timing with event supervisor
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • oversee kitchen cleanup and proper storage of leftovers
  • enforce standard operating procedures and provide staff coaching
  • manage staffing levels and budget adherence
  • monitor timing and attendance of kitchen staff
  • complete event documentation and performance notes
  • support production kitchen operations as needed
  • participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • attend department meetings and site visits for event planning
  • perform additional tasks as assigned for event success
