Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer Culinary Arts degree or advanced culinary certification
  • Strong culinary skills in off-site food preparation
  • Minimum 6 years experience in hospitality, catering, or hotel food service
  • Certified Food Service Manager certification preferred or to be completed within 90 days
  • Ability to work in fast-paced event environments
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards
  • Effective leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize under pressure
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to stand and move for 6 to 8 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to work in varying temperature and noise conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary arts degree or advanced culinary certification preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in hospitality industry with catering or hotel food service preferred
  • Strong culinary skills and advanced cooking techniques for off-site functions
  • Completion or ability to complete Certified Food Service Manager certification

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Dedication to quality and food safety practices
  • Positive attitude in client and team interactions
  • Proficiency in English

Job Duties

  • Arrive ready and on time dressed according to dress code
  • Get your assignment and check event details with the Event Supervisor
  • Lead the kitchen team and assign tasks
  • Master the menu and flow through pre-shift meetings
  • Set up the kitchen efficiently for food production
  • Oversee food production ensuring quality and consistency
  • Coordinate service timing and plating with Event Supervisor
  • Practice safe food handling and cleanliness standards
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and supervise breakdown
  • Coach and lead kitchen staff to follow standard operating procedures
  • Manage staffing levels and labor budgets
  • Monitor staff timing and attendance accurately
  • Complete event documentation and submit to management
  • Support production kitchen as needed
  • Engage in team development including hiring and training
  • Attend meetings and site visits as required
  • Sign out at scheduled departure time
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management
