Job Requirements
- Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field
- Two years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Working knowledge of financial, budgetary, and accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of public finance and administrative fiscal management
- Proficiency in financial system software and spreadsheet applications
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Successful completion of background check
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Ability to perform payroll and budget reconciliation functions
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field
- Two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working knowledge of financial, budgetary, and accounting principles and practices
- Understanding of public finance, personnel fiscal management, and cash-flow management
- Knowledge of research and statistical principles
- General knowledge of position control and budgetary alignment
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems, word processing, and spreadsheet applications
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and develop recommendations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and prepare analytical reports
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and train others
Job Duties
- Create, monitor, and track event rental agreements ensuring accuracy
- Prepare and distribute agreements to clients and maintain records
- Analyze and maintain event budget spending and reconcile financial data
- Prepare detailed financial reports and budget-to-actual comparisons
- Ensure compliance with university fiscal policies and review expenditures
- Collaborate with event organizers and staff to resolve budget issues
- Research vendors and purchase event-related equipment
- Reconcile monthly financial reports including travel and corporate card expenditures
- Prepare and enter requisitions and purchase orders
- Process and submit invoices according to guidelines
- Coordinate monthly requests for invoices and chargebacks
- Perform departmental payroll functions
- Compile and analyze financial data for reporting and audits
- Provide on-site event support as needed
- Perform other classification-related duties assigned
