Job Requirements
- Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Two years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Working knowledge of financial budgetary and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of public finance administrative personnel fiscal management and cash-flow management
- Working knowledge of research techniques and statistical principles
- General knowledge of the principles of position control and budgetary alignment
- Advanced proficiency in financial system word processing and spreadsheet software
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to define problem areas collect data perform preliminary analyses make recommendations and prepare analytical comments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and train others

Job Duties
- Create, monitor, and track event rental agreements ensuring accurate documentation
- Analyze and maintain budgets for event rentals or programs and reconcile financial data
- Prepare detailed financial reports and budget-to-actual comparisons
- Analyze financial data to identify trends make projections and provide recommendations
- Ensure all financial activities comply with university policies including expenditure reviews
- Work with event organizers and staff to meet financial goals and resolve budget issues
- Research vendors and purchase event related equipment
- Reconcile monthly financial reports including travel and corporate card expenditures
- Prepare and enter requisitions and purchase orders for departmental activities
- Process and submit invoices for payment per university guidelines
- Coordinate monthly requests for invoices and chargebacks
- Perform departmental payroll functions ensuring accuracy
- Compile and analyze financial data for reporting and audit requests
- Provide on-site event support as needed
- Perform other classification-related duties as assigned
