Job Requirements

  • Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Availability to work second and third shifts and/or weekends if required
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record if driving company vehicle is expected
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic with American money
  • Maintain neat and clean appearance with uniform at all times
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands for cash handling regularly
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
  • Ability to occasionally sit, climb or balance
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Job Qualifications

  • Less than high school education or one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one customer and employee interactions
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using basic two-digit numbers and American currency
  • Neat and clean appearance with complete uniform at all times
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license if driving company vehicle is required

Job Duties

  • Arrive at work every scheduled day, on time and in a neat and clean uniform
  • Courteously assist customers by answering any questions they may have
  • Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces
  • Count vehicles on location throughout shift, as needed
  • Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies
  • Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in motor carts, if applicable
  • Provide assistance to customers that have forgotten where they parked their vehicle
  • Give directions and inform customers of various locations in the city
  • Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the manager
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills and other hazards to management
  • Ensure successful customer interactions
  • Count bank money at the beginning of the shift
  • Collect cash and/or coupons and maintain security of cash
  • Make change and issue receipts or tickets to customers
  • Verify shift transactions and complete cashier shift report
