Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least three years experience in relevant public or hospitality service position
- Valid Class C Texas driver’s license
- Ability to maintain satisfactory driving record
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong multitasking and independent judgment skills
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and handle extreme temperatures
Job Qualifications
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service by communicating verbally and in writing
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and ask for clarification when needed
- Ability to analyze problems, provide alternatives, and identify solutions in support of established goals
- Ability to update and maintain departmental records and filing systems
- Must be an independent, self-starter and be able to listen to citizen complaints and concerns
- Knowledge in departmental operations relative to the area of assignment
- Basic knowledge of conference center facility equipment
- Ability to set priorities, make independent judgments, and multitask
- Ability to understand event layout and customer needs
- High school graduate or equivalent with three (3) year experience in a public facility or other service-focused hospitality position
- OR
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED
- A Valid Class C Texas driver's license and the ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record
Job Duties
- This position provides oversight of event staff, supervises, and responsible for guest impressions of the Conference Center experience
- Accountable for opening/ closing procedures, successful facility bookings, and setting up and tearing down rooms
- Primarily in an indoor environment with the ability to operate outdoors when needed
- May be exposed to extreme heat and cold during summer and winter months
