Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three years experience in relevant public or hospitality service position
  • Valid Class C Texas driver’s license
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory driving record
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Strong multitasking and independent judgment skills
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and handle extreme temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service by communicating verbally and in writing
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and ask for clarification when needed
  • Ability to analyze problems, provide alternatives, and identify solutions in support of established goals
  • Ability to update and maintain departmental records and filing systems
  • Must be an independent, self-starter and be able to listen to citizen complaints and concerns
  • Knowledge in departmental operations relative to the area of assignment
  • Basic knowledge of conference center facility equipment
  • Ability to set priorities, make independent judgments, and multitask
  • Ability to understand event layout and customer needs
  • High school graduate or equivalent with three (3) year experience in a public facility or other service-focused hospitality position
  • OR
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED
  • A Valid Class C Texas driver's license and the ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record

Job Duties

  • This position provides oversight of event staff, supervises, and responsible for guest impressions of the Conference Center experience
  • Accountable for opening/ closing procedures, successful facility bookings, and setting up and tearing down rooms
  • Primarily in an indoor environment with the ability to operate outdoors when needed
  • May be exposed to extreme heat and cold during summer and winter months
