Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with athletes and community members
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to assist with physical aspects of sport events
  • Commitment to adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Ability to pass background checks including ID verification
  • Compliance with state-mandated clearances to supervise minors if applicable

  • At least 2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Customer-service oriented
  • Strong detail orientation

Job Duties

  • Provide thoughtful product recommendations fitting the skill and experience level of each athlete
  • Support the Field Lead or Coach for in-store sport events both on and off the field
  • Assist with DICK'S sponsored camps, clinics, and programs to enhance the experiential store offerings
  • Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, and sports leagues to promote partnerships and field events
  • Collaborate with the Community Team to bring clinics, camps, and afterschool programming to the field
  • Provide teammate training and coaching including one-on-one conversations, group training sessions, and role play exercises
  • Manage time and priorities effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Adhere to loss prevention standards
  • Promote company programs such as warranty sales, Scorecard loyalty program, private-label credit cards, and seasonal promotions
  • Demonstrate excellent product knowledge to provide consultative advice to athletes
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
