Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • minimum three years of event planning experience
  • strong organizational and project management skills
  • experience with fundraising and donor stewardship
  • knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or similar software preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of event-related technology
  • familiarity with marketing and online communication tools
  • problem-solving abilities
  • attention to detail
  • preferred knowledge of higher education
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • availability for evening and weekend work
  • occasional travel for off-site events

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, Business Management, or related field
  • minimum of three years experience in event planning preferably in higher education or non-profit sector
  • strong organizational and project management skills
  • experience with fundraising events and donor stewardship
  • familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising software preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
  • knowledge of event technology and online registration platforms
  • familiarity with marketing and design software
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • attention to detail
  • knowledge of higher education environments preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, and execute fundraising and appreciation events
  • develop event concepts and objectives collaboratively
  • coordinate event logistics including venue, catering, transportation, and technology needs
  • manage event budgets for cost efficiency and quality
  • serve as primary contact for event inquiries and vendor relations
  • develop and implement donor recognition initiatives
  • maintain accurate donor databases and track engagement activities
  • collaborate with marketing to create promotional materials
  • utilize social media and email campaigns for event promotion
  • analyze attendance and feedback to improve events
  • maintain detailed event records and prepare reports
  • support Foundation daily operations and respond to inquiries
  • perform additional duties as assigned
