Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area
  • Two to five years of applicable event management experience and/or scheduling experience
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday with a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional travel
  • Ability to use EMS or similar event management platforms
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Two to five years of event management or scheduling experience in corporate hospitality or university environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and standard computer applications
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience supervising student workers or graduate assistants

Job Duties

  • Process reservation requests in EMS with accurate data entry and thorough information about meetings and events
  • Assist all internal and external clients with reservation and space inquiries and EMS troubleshooting
  • Ensure client satisfaction through fostering clear and constructive communications and assist with selecting appropriate service vendors and departments
  • Prepare client banquet event orders, confirmations, post-event follow up and customer evaluations
  • Serve as the main contact for assigned clients, coordinating bookings, managing event details, creating and managing registration sites, tracking and reconciling payments, and communicating University policies and procedures
  • Assist summer conference housing program coordinator with duties such as liaison work, room assignments, catering, meeting room selections and setup, transportation, and staffing
  • Perform other duties as assigned
