Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • five years of administrative experience
  • one year of event coordination experience preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • ability to calculate figures and percentages accurately
  • excellent multitasking and prioritization skills
  • strong verbal and written communication
  • ability to provide excellent customer service
  • ability to handle confidential information
  • valid Michigan driver’s license with satisfactory driving record

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • associate's degree in business administration preferred
  • minimum of five years of strong administrative experience demonstrating increasing responsibility
  • one year of event coordination experience preferred
  • computer proficiency in Word and Excel
  • database management preferred
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • valid Michigan driver’s license with satisfactory driving record

Job Duties

  • administer licensing requests such as state raffle, tent permits, special liquor licenses, temporary signage
  • cross-train customer service representative to provide back-up during absences and leaves
  • maintain master campus-wide planning schedule/calendar in Microsoft Outlook as Meeting Reservation Manager
  • serve as MRM system administrator and primary customer contact for scheduling and confirming campus-wide events
  • review reservation requests for global impact and communicate with requesters
  • provide MRM training and support to employees, develop training materials and schedules
  • coordinate and manage events at various Cranbrook facilities, respond to inquiries, provide venue pricing and services, collect payments
  • participate in event department budget development
  • review and submit event setup request forms, assist community in completing forms
  • manage Cranbrook Photography Program, including scheduling, confirmations, insurance certificates, invoicing, and coordinating commercial photography sessions
