Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's degree in Business Administration preferred
- Minimum of five years of strong administrative experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- One year of event coordination experience preferred
- Proficiency in Word and Excel required
- Database management preferred
- Ability to accurately calculate figures and percentages
- Effective multitasking and prioritization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Valid Michigan driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record

Job Duties
- Administer licensing requests such as state raffle, tent permits, special liquor licenses, and temporary signage
- Cross-train Customer Service Representative to provide back-up during absences and leaves
- Maintain Master campus-wide Planning Schedule/Calendar (MRM) in Microsoft Outlook
- Serve as MRM System Administrator and primary customer contact, coordinating with all Cranbrook departments and external constituents
- Review reservation requests for global impact and communicate with requesters, escalating issues to supervisor as needed
- Supply new employee MRM training, refresher training, and end user support
- Maintain MRM email, develop training materials, and coordinate community-wide training schedules
- Coordinate, plan, and manage events at various Cranbrook institutes and facilities
- Respond to inquiries about rental information, pricing, venue specifications, and services
- Collect payments and assist in the Event Department budget development process
- Review and submit all Event Setup Request Forms
- Assist community members in completing Event Setup Request Forms
- Manage Cranbrook Photography Program including scheduling, insurance certificates, invoicing, and coordination of commercial photography sessions
