  • Proficiency with digital tools such as Drupal, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media platforms

  • Experience working under tight deadlines and managing budgets
  • Experience developing communications content for varied audiences

Job Duties

  • Plan, organize, implement and publicize live-streamed, hybrid, and in-person events such as symposia, conferences, workshops, trainings, advisory meetings, and VIP briefings
  • Coordinate and co-facilitate multi-day experiential learning programs such as Democracy Camp
  • Manage audio/visual and technical support for all events and conduct staff training
  • Facilitate communications including designing promotional materials, managing public announcements, and updating digital resources like websites and social media platforms
  • Manage event logistics including room reservations, participant registration, catering, travel reimbursements, vendor payments, and parking
  • Monitor event budgeting and procurement including tracking banquet orders and vendor contracts
  • Develop and implement publicity and social media strategies and maintain media distribution lists
  • Serve as liaison to media relations and track media presence
  • Support development and fundraising activities including content creation and dissemination
  • Supervise and train student workers assisting with events and communications
  • Ensure compliance with University policies
  • Prepare newsletters and oversee content development production schedules
