Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Ability to perform routine cleaning and sanitizing duties
- Experience with dusting sweeping mopping scrubbing and vacuuming
- Ability to clean and store equipment properly
- Ability to replenish products and supplies
- Capability to alert appropriate personnel for repairs or maintenance needs
- Ability to remove and dispose of debris or trash
- Willingness to perform basic maintenance and outside grounds work as required
- Availability to work Saturday and Sunday evenings plus two weekday evenings from 6 pm to 12 am
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly
- Effective communication skills to report maintenance needs and coordinate with supervisor
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift moderate weights
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Job Duties
- Perform various cleaning duties across the campus such as sweeping dusting mopping vacuuming cleaning and sanitizing to ensure campus buildings classrooms offices and common areas are well-maintained and presentable
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and re-stock supplies as needed
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of trash or debris into compactors and/or dumpsters
- Wipe down and sanitize windows desks and other surface areas
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of campus events and meetings including setting up and taking down tables and chairs and cleaning event areas
- Assist with office moves and rearranging furniture
- Follow established safety protocols and ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment chemicals and supplies
- Shovel and remove snow and ice in doorways and entrances
- Report any areas or equipment that require maintenance or repair
- Replenish products and supplies in assigned areas and notify supervisor of need to order various cleaning supplies and equipment
- Display a courteous attitude to enhance the positive and welcoming atmosphere at JCCC
- Perform other duties as assigned
