Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • valid CPR/First Aid certification
  • knowledge of green cleaning principles and CIMS certification requirements
  • knowledge of electronic tracking systems such as MAXIMO, SAMS, TAMS, JAMS
  • knowledge of regulatory standards, hospital standards, and facility management
  • knowledge about regulations for SDS, Fire and Safety, Hazard Communications and Bloodborne Pathogens
  • minimum three years’ experience in custodial supervision and administrative duties
  • demonstrated ability in building service management, equipment and chemical application
  • janitorial/custodial experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Comply with all agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications
  • manage and supervise custodian assignments for the cleaning crews for a specific shift/area assigned
  • evaluate/supervise assigned custodial staff
  • maintain a positive relationship with staff members
  • assign, oversee, and inspect the cleaning activities of the custodial staff assigned to meet contract requirements
  • schedule general janitorial services per contract specifications
  • train employees in proper cleaning procedures
  • identify and correct sub-standard cleaning procedures and processes
  • maintain daily log of cleaning discrepancies
  • report maintenance issues to management
  • work with inspectors to resolve cleaning problems
  • review inspection reports and ensure corrective action
  • complete and submit necessary reports
  • manage time and attendance records
  • conduct safety training
  • attend management meetings
  • maintain communication with airport operations center
  • react immediately to custodial emergencies
