Job Requirements
- ability to stand, walk, push, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead and forward for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry 25 pounds
- ability to read cleaning instructions
- ability to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses
Job Qualifications
- one to two years experience as a custodian, janitor or housekeeper a plus but not required
- willingness to learn and strong work ethic
- experience in professional janitorial services such as office complexes, hotels, hospitals or schools a plus
- ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- ability to communicate in English
- respect and understanding of coworkers and customers
Job Duties
- removing trash
- maintaining common space areas
- restocking bathrooms
- responding to all cleaning requirements
- performing sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, window cleaning, and moving furniture and equipment
- maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment
- using proper personal protective equipment
- cleaning all common spaces including kitchen, cafeteria, lobby and break room
- placing safety hazard signs including wet floor signs
- monitoring, cleaning, servicing and restocking bathrooms
- responding to major spills or cleaning crises
- removing litter and debris from common areas
