Job Requirements

  • ability to stand, walk, push, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overhead and forward for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry 25 pounds
  • ability to read cleaning instructions
  • ability to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses

Job Qualifications

  • one to two years experience as a custodian, janitor or housekeeper a plus but not required
  • willingness to learn and strong work ethic
  • experience in professional janitorial services such as office complexes, hotels, hospitals or schools a plus
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • ability to communicate in English
  • respect and understanding of coworkers and customers

Job Duties

  • removing trash
  • maintaining common space areas
  • restocking bathrooms
  • responding to all cleaning requirements
  • performing sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, window cleaning, and moving furniture and equipment
  • maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment
  • using proper personal protective equipment
  • cleaning all common spaces including kitchen, cafeteria, lobby and break room
  • placing safety hazard signs including wet floor signs
  • monitoring, cleaning, servicing and restocking bathrooms
  • responding to major spills or cleaning crises
  • removing litter and debris from common areas
