Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, with the ability to follow safety guidelines
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and procedures preferred
- Ability to operate floor cleaning machines and other janitorial equipment preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with supervisors and team members
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing floors, surfaces, and fixtures across the facility
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables in accordance with company policies
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any malfunctions or shortages to the supervisor promptly
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and reporting safety hazards or repair needs
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to accommodate special cleaning requests or events
