Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in event management
- availability to work evenings and weekends during academic year
- ability to work late hours including Fridays and Saturdays
- must be available for Spring Weekend and Senior Week
- successful completion of criminal background check
- education verification satisfactory to employer
Job Qualifications
- event planning and management experience
- demonstrated experience with events involving alcohol
- experience preferably in a college environment
- ability to work Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday evenings and weekend days during academic year
- excellent communication skills
- strong organizational skills
- conflict resolution abilities
- ability to relate to students and understand the value of student-run events
Job Duties
- coordinate overall student activities and events during evenings and weekends
- provide on-site support and advice to student event organizers
- collaborate with student managers to ensure events run smoothly and safely
- manage departmental facilities during scheduled events
- respond to event-related conflicts and resolve issues
- enforce event policies related to safety and alcohol use
- participate in occasional daytime meetings and trainings
