Job Requirements

  • Availability to work evening hours on Thursdays, Fridays and/or Saturdays during the academic year
  • Must be able to work the last weekend in April for Spring Weekend and the week prior to Memorial Day for Senior Week
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse groups including faculty, staff, and students
  • Must successfully pass criminal background check and education verification
  • Part-time availability ranging from 5 to 12 hours per week
  • Ability to work occasionally during special events
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as event schedules dictate

Job Qualifications

  • Event planning and management experience
  • Experience managing events with alcohol
  • Ability to work Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday evenings and weekend days during academic year
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to support and promote diversity and inclusion
  • Experience working in a college environment preferred
  • Willingness to relate to students and understand value of student events

Job Duties

  • Overall coordination of student activities and events during evenings and weekends
  • Provide on-site support and advice to student event organizers
  • Collaborate with student managers to ensure smooth and safe event operations
  • Monitor compliance with university policies including safety and alcohol regulations
  • Assist in conflict resolution and managing event-related issues
  • Participate in rare daytime meetings or trainings
  • Support major events such as Spring Weekend and Senior Week
