Job Requirements

  • Minimum relevant experience in event management
  • Ability to work varied weekend evening shifts during academic year
  • Availability for specific high-demand periods such as Spring Weekend and Senior Week
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse campus community
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must provide education verification

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in event planning and management
  • Experience managing events with alcohol
  • Ability to work Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday evenings and weekend days
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to relate to students and support student-run events
  • Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion

Job Duties

  • Coordinate overall student activities and events during evenings and weekends
  • Provide on-site support and advice to student event organizers
  • Work collaboratively with student managers to ensure smooth event operations
  • Ensure events run safely with adherence to university policies
  • Manage departmental facilities in support of event needs
  • Respond to conflicts or emergencies swiftly and effectively
  • Assist in event setup and breakdown as necessary
