Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- prior custodial experience
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- ability to operate cleaning machinery
- adherence to safety guidelines
- reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Duties
- perform routine cleaning procedures including sweeping, mopping floors, dusting and polishing furniture and equipment, cleaning glass at entrance doors, empty wastebaskets and remove trash, clean restrooms and restock supplies, operate floor machines, burnishers and carpet cleaning equipment
- shut down and clean areas according to schedule minimizing inconvenience to employees and the public
- respond to custodial needs not written in schedules
- adhere to safety rules for handling and disposing of cleaning agents and use of personal protective equipment
- communicate effectively with staff and visitors
- handle chemicals and hazardous items properly
- maintain attendance and punctuality
- respond to cleaning assignments at other county locations during shifts
