Job Duties

  • Prepare all food items based on standardized recipes for restaurants, room service, employee cafeteria and banquets
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safety in kitchen and work areas
  • Minimize waste and maximize cost to production ratio
  • Ensure proper food storage and rotation according to hotel procedures
  • Use various cooking techniques such as charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sautéing, braising, roasting and par-cooking
  • Prepare and display buffet food items and banquet orders as specified
  • Support other kitchen positions as needed and participate in hotel training and meetings
