Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant bartending experience in a high-volume setting
- Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Experience with point-of-sales systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs
- US work authorization
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of high-volume bartending experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
- Extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
- Ability to upsell
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to operate all necessary computer equipment
- knowledge of Opera and Micros POS preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work closely with other departments
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 lbs
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to recipes
- Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
- check completed orders with guest’s original order
- Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item's origin, taste, and preparation methods
- maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, Armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
- Properly and accurately close guest checks
- process cash and credit card payments
- properly settle voided checks or complimentary items
