Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant bartending experience in a high-volume setting
  • Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Experience with point-of-sales systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs
  • US work authorization

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of high-volume bartending experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits
  • Ability to upsell
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to operate all necessary computer equipment
  • knowledge of Opera and Micros POS preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely with other departments
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 lbs

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to recipes
  • Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
  • check completed orders with guest’s original order
  • Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item's origin, taste, and preparation methods
  • maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, Armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks
  • process cash and credit card payments
  • properly settle voided checks or complimentary items
