Job Requirements

  • Part-time employment status
  • Must have active TABC certification
  • Must have active Food Handler certification
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Experience with POS systems
  • Must be able to communicate courteously and professionally
  • Ability to manage and train waitstaff
  • Ability to maintain health department code compliance
  • Must work varied schedules
  • Basic computer skills and software proficiency

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, hospitality, food service, or a closely related field
  • Experience in waitstaff training and relations including management, scheduling, planning and delegating tasks
  • Experience in customer service including excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and positive motivational attitude
  • Ability to use personal computer and computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Orderport, and Revel
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet sales goals and deadlines
  • Must have active TABC and Food Handler certifications at all times

Job Duties

  • Promote, sell, and conduct tours, tastings, parties and repeat sales at winery
  • Educate guests on wine, wine and food pairings and wine appreciation
  • Operate POS system for routine purchasing transactions including cash register use, accounting daily sales, processing returns and discounts
  • Communicate professionally with guests, co-workers, and business associates
  • Facilitate high standards of cleanliness and organization in Tasting Room and Vintage House including food areas, decks, patios, event spaces, and restrooms
  • Maintain food and waitstaff areas in accordance with health department codes aiming for 95 or better health inspection scores
  • Assist with inventory control, merchandising and stocking
  • Maintain full stock of wines, food items, and gift shop products
  • Oversee and execute all opening and closing procedures including cash drawer reconciliation
  • Manage personnel, including training new associates and supervising ongoing staff
  • Increase VIP memberships and engage in related customer service activities, including database maintenance
  • Assist Membership Department in executing membership events to maximize attendance and sales
  • Serve as on-site supervisor and execution specialist for traditional and non-traditional Designer Events
  • Facilitate communication flow from upper management to estate hospitality staff
  • Perform other duties and assist other departments as needed
