Job Requirements
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one to three months experience to perform basic duties proficiently
- physical ability to perform required tasks
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- willingness to adhere to safety procedures including use of PPE
- availability to work evening shifts, Monday through Friday, with alternating weekend shifts
- no driving required

Job Duties
- Assembles materials and supplies from supply rooms
- stock service carts
- transports to assigned work area
- performs daily cleaning and supplying of the area in accordance with departmental procedures
- returns unused supplies to supply room
- cleans equipment used and stores it properly
- prepares cleaning solutions
- dusts windowsills, blinds, furniture, and other items
- empties and cleans wastebaskets
- dry mops floors
- cleans and polishes metal and porcelain fixtures
- cleans showers and toilets
- damp dusts or vacuums chairs and items
- makes beds with clean linens
- performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms
- assists in cleaning emergency spills
- vacuums rugs and carpets
- washes walls and ceilings
- cleans lighting fixtures, window tops, and doorframes
- hangs and changes bedside curtains and drapes
- moves furniture to clean area
- transports trash and linen to designated areas
- compacts trash
- packs infectious waste
- maintains equipment and work area
- reports repairs to supervisor
- performs duties during fire or disaster
- performs heavy duty cleaning functions
- operates power equipment
- transports furniture and equipment as needed
- performs other duties as assigned
