Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred based on service area
  • Ability to board and un-board infants, toddlers, and adolescents safely in vehicles using car seats
  • Ability to maintain a good driving record and meet agency insurance requirements
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 125 pounds
  • Clear verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One year of transportation experience
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Clear verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to use good judgment and think quickly in stressful situations

Job Duties

  • Safely transport unaccompanied children to scheduled activities and appointments using DOT safety measures
  • Use safety protocol to assist children entering and exiting vehicles
  • Conduct pre-and-post trip operational and safety inspections of vehicles
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle before and after transportation
  • Record and accurately maintain mileage and travel logs ensuring HIPAA confidentiality
  • Inform Senior Transporter of any changes to transportation schedules
  • Report all incidents and accidents promptly according to agency policies
  • Assist with emergency evacuations of children during unforeseen events
  • Escort children during scheduled flights ensuring safety and proper identification verification
  • Exhibit professional behavior and positive attitude with clients consistent with agency policies
