Job Requirements

high school education or GED
current food handler certificate from local health department
previous one year experience as paid cook in a commercial kitchen

Job Qualifications

current food handler certificate from local health department
previous one year experience as paid cook in a commercial kitchen
knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and safety standards
understanding of infection control and sanitation practices

Job Duties

work from prepared, approved menus convert quantities to meet required number of meals
prepare meals as directed following basic health department rules and internal infection control policies
do laundry and change linens in residential rooms
perform other housekeeping duties as needed
