Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- valid Class A CDL
- DOT medical certification card
- clean driving record
- knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting up to 60 lbs, climbing stairs and ladders
- attention to detail
- strong customer service skills
- ability to perform basic truck and trailer repairs
- ability to maintain daily inspection logs
- commitment to safety
- able to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- willing to pass DOT drug screen and physical exam
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- class A CDL required
- hazmat endorsement a plus
- DOT medical certification card
- must have and maintain a clean driving record
- able to drive equipment safely
- able to complete daily inspection reports
- able to keep vehicle in clean and proper working order
- personal attributes: attention to detail, creative thinking, even temperament, customer focus, integrity, team player
- willing to undergo DOT drug screen and physical pre-employment
Job Duties
- Completes and updates progress of daily delivery schedule
- orders state, county, and city permits
- completes and maintains accurate Hours of Service log according to FMCSA regulations
- interacts with dispatch throughout the day to support changes in the delivery schedule
- works with various Ziegler personnel in loading/unloading equipment
- determines and communicates necessary repairs of equipment to appropriate personnel
- performs vehicle walk around inspections and daily vehicle maintenance
- maintains professional and courteous interactions with customers
- performs basic repairs and maintenance to truck and trailer
